Checking/Savings Accounts
When opening a checking or savings account in-person, be sure to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Official piece of mail in the applicants name, such as a recent utility bill, lease agreement, financial/credit card/social security statement, etc. (Only necessary if your address is not current on the ID)
- Beneficiary information: Name, address, phone number, DOB and SSN (if possible)
- $5 deposit
- A recent paystub (Necessary if you only qualify for membership through your employer)

Please note: Joint owners need to be present with same requirements for identification and address.
Business Accounts
When applying for a business account, be sure to bring the following information:
- Business owner's social security number
- Personal information for all signers including:
- Copy of driver’s license and business titles
- Business tax ID and SIC code
- Date the business was established
- Current business address
- Additional documentation based on type of business:
- Sole Proprietorship – certification of assumed name
- Partnership – partnership agreement and registration of fictitious name
- Corporation – articles of incorporation, evidence of corporate existence or good standing and annual registration report
- Limited Liability Company – articles of organization, operating agreements and certificate of existence or good standing
- Unincorporated Association or Organization – certification signed by secretary authorizing signatory and copy of by-laws
Individual Retirement Accounts
When opening an IRA in-person, be sure to bring the following items:
If the funds are coming from another IRA at another financial institution, we will need:
- Financial institution's contact information
- Current financial statement
If funds are coming from an employer's retirement plan, we will need:
- The plan name
- Account number for the plan
- Employer contact information
- Most recent financial statement
Trust Accounts
When opening a trust account in-person, be sure to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Official piece of mail in your name, such as a recent utility bill, lease agreement, financial/credit card/social security statement, etc. (Only necessary if your address is not current on the ID)
- Beneficiary information: Name, address, phone number, DOB and SSN (if possible)
- $5 deposit
- A recent paystub (Necessary if you only qualify for membership through your employer)
- Trustee(s) IDs
- Documentation of the Trust OR the Trust Certification
- Social Security Administration letter establishing EIN (only applicable if the Trust has its own EIN)

Estate Accounts
When opening an estate account in-person, the executor needs to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Official piece of mail in your name, such as a recent utility bill, lease agreement, financial/credit card/social security statement, etc. (Only necessary if your address is not current on the ID)
- Beneficiary information: Name, address, phone number, DOB and SSN (if possible)
- $5 deposit
- A recent paystub (Necessary if you only qualify for membership through your employer)
- A Death Certificate
- Letters of Testamentary (if Estate is under a will filed in Probate Court)
- Letters of Administration (if estate is filed without a will in Probate Court)
Uniform Transfer to Minor Accounts
When opening a Uniform Transfers to Minors Account (UTMA) in-person, be sure to bring the following information for both the parent and child:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Mailing Address (for both parties if they live at separate locations)
- Social Security Numbers
- $5 Deposit
Updating an Account Owner
When adding a person to an account, be sure to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Official piece of mail in the applicants name, such as a recent utility bill, lease agreement, financial/credit card/social security statement, etc. (Only necessary if your address is not current on the ID)
- Beneficiary information: Name, address, phone number, DOB and SSN (if possible)
- $5 deposit
- A recent paystub (Necessary if you only qualify for membership through your employer)
When removing a person from an account, be sure to bring the following items:
- Termination of Joint Ownership completed and signed in-person or notarized if not in-person
- If joint owner is deceased, please provide a death certificate

Auto Loans
When applying for an auto loan, be sure to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- One month of most recent paycheck stubs (not needed if direct deposit is connected to CU account)
- If self-employed, two years of tax returns
- All coborrowers must be present to run credit
- Additional items for purchasing:
- Bill of Sale
- Copy of title,
- 10 day payoff letter (only needed if there is still a lien)
- Additional items for refinancing:
- Title
- Ten day payoff letter with phone number, address and account number
Mortgage Loans
When applying for a mortgage loan, be sure to bring or know the following items:
- Name, current address, social security number
- Name(s), and work number(s) of employer(s) for the past two years
- Monthly income for you and your co-borrower (most recent pay stub(s) with year-to-date income)
- Includes bonuses, commissions and overtime income for the past two years (this information is on your tax return)
- If you are self-employed, you will need the last two years' tax returns for the type of business you own:
- Sole Proprietorship (Schedule C)
- Partnership (Form 1065)
- Corporation (Form 1120 or 1120s)
- In addition, the last two years' personal tax returns (including K-1s)
- Documentation to support credit history problems (if applicable)
- Can be a written explanation of late payments, bankruptcy (petition and discharge papers), defaults, judgments, and/or liens
- As part of closing, we will have to verify all funds that you receive; so it's a good idea to get together any documents that will verify proof of receipt or deposit for funds
- Examples: gifts and trust accounts
Home Equity Loans
When applying for a home equity loan or second mortgage, be sure to know or bring the following information:
- Valid Driver's License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- Social Security number
- Address history for the past two years
- Email address
Documents to bring:
- Homeowner’s insurance declaration page
- Pay Stubs (past 30 days)
- Most Recent W-2
- Current first mortgage statement
- Current tax assessment or recent appraisal
- Death certificate, divorce decree, marriage license, trust documents (only if applicable)
- If retired, Social Security and pension award letters, or 1099s
- If annuity or IRA distributions received: most recent statements
- If self-employed or commissioned, most recent year complete tax returns, personal and business
Personal Loans
When applying for a personal loan, be sure to bring the following items:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID, Passport, or Military ID
- One month of most recent paycheck stubs (not needed if direct deposit is connected to CU account)
- Copies of any bills to be paid off with loan (if applicable)
- If self-employed, two years of tax returns
- All coborrowers must be present to run credit
Business Loans
When applying for a business loan, be sure to bring the following information:
- Personal Financial Statement »
- 3 years of personal tax returns with W2’s and K1’s
- 3 years of business tax returns
- Copy of Operating Agreement
- Tax ID number

Credit Cards
When applying for a credit card, be sure to bring the following items:

- If self-employed, two years of tax returns
